Provo Razor Riders Realm

Just in case you didn't know, a realm is a geographic area.  That is what the guy I met in the park during my scooter ride told me.

He also told me all about Belegarth, which is what he was doing in the park at 10:30 on a Thursday night.  Apparently, that's when and where the Ered Duath Provo Realm of Belegarth Medieval Combat Society meets for its sparring matches. I know where I'll be next Thursday night.

I made sure to ask, but nobody was drunk; safety first.

Despite the wonder of the Realm, this little chance meeting with a not-so-secret society was only the tip of the iceberg in our "Provo Razor Riders" adventure.

We started off just riding a mere 15 city blocks to find a park that I SWEAR was supposed to be in a different spot than where we found it.

After we finally found it (we now know where the Provo Farmers' Market takes place) we headed back north and that is when we found our fighting friends.

We could not end the night with that as our only adventure so we headed to Sumo's Shave Ice for a treat.  We prayed that the line would be short since last time we scootered there, we ended up spending 25 minutes in line.  Luck was a lady and there was no line.

The night sure did not end there.  On our way back from Sumo's, Stacy TOTALLY biffed it.  Hardcore.  But she did it very gracefully.  She looked like a professional tumbler as she flew off her scooter.

The best news of the night is that I found a Russian Olive!!!!!  As we were scootering by the garden part of campus, I smelled it.  I was on the hunt to find it so that I could sit under it for hours and smell its wonderful banana peely smell and feel like I was at home.  I finally found it halfway up the stairs on the corner of the gardens.  Success!!!!!  Oddly enough, it doesn't smell right up next to it, just from far away.

We then ended the night with taking some ridiculous pictures...for posterity's sake.
