Washington Thus Far

I told you all to expect magic and magic has delivered.

The magic started the morning after I arrived by giving me an opportunity to help lay a floor in a friend's house.  And by me, I mean my mom.  I pretty much was there for moral support and to say, "Oh, yeah, that looks super fab!"  "And really, it should only take an hour."  "I don't think the gap looks THAT big..."   "A fridge can't be too heavy for us to move easily by ourselves."

We had special interest in this floor because it was in the house that was to be hosting an annual Christmas Open House the next night.  This specific open house always boasts amazing food, old friends, and laughing into the night.  We closed it down this year.

The next day was party time and Teresa and I thought we should probably dress up a little more "classy" than we normally do.  So we curled our hair, donned our sweaters, and accessorized it up before heading out to partay!

The outfits:

(I know, you've already seen this on me before)

The hair and 'cessories:

The party was a blast--the food was amazing and so were the people!!

And as I type, I am having my hair "did" by Matthew--yes, my nine year old brother.

Direct quote, "Hurry, this won't last." As he is posing for a pic on the counter.
