Holiday Treats

Back in November I remembered how last year the Christmas season went by so quickly because life here is ruled by semesters, and when the semester ends for everybody they all leave.  The semester ends in the middle of December which doesn't leave a lot of time for merry making and the like. 

Enter the idea of starting Christmas (gasp) BEFORE we left for Thanksgiving, that way our tree would be all set up and things would be pretty for us when we got home from T-giving break.

But just to make sure that we didn't jump the gun too much, we started by just making holiday treats.

I was originally going to fill these jars with fabric just to decorate but then the line at Joann Fabrics was one milllllllllllion long.  Not a joke, we pulled our ticket for the cut counter when they were on customer 13 and it was for number 54. YIKES.  So we ended up waiting for as long as we possibly could and then gave our 54 to a lady with the number 90 (who looked 90--she wasn't gonna make it through that long of a line).
