Anyong!!

That is how you say 'Hello" in Korean.  Why is that important, you ask?  Oh, well, my roommate decided to go on a mission.  She put in her papers a few weeks ago and we waited not so patiently.

Last Sunday the Bishop told her that her call had been issued.  That meant that she would get it sometime during the week.

It did not come on Wednesday so the mail was checked a MILLION times on Thursday.
My roomie had class pretty much at the same time as the mail arrival so she came home to check it between classes.

That didn't pan out and so she asked me to check it every so often.  She could not wait very long and called to see if I had yet.  I hadn't, so I took a 3 min break from my homework/facebook perusal to run downstairs and check the mail.

The one and only thing that was in the mail was a large white envelope from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I called her and let her know that there was something for her.  It was probably the longest two and a half hours of her life.

BUT, the time finally came to open her call and we all found out it was to KOREA.  Crazy but amazing.

I love missions and missionaries and missionary work and wonderful roommates who want to serve the Lord.
