The Gift of Sight

On Thursday I was listening to the radio on my way home and heard that a Vision Center up in Salt Lake was having a contest to give away free laser eye surgery.  They said to go to their Facebook page and like them.  So I did, thinking that it was going to be that easy.

I was wrong.  What they wanted you to do was click like so that the contest rules would open up.  The contest was that you had to make a video explaining why you should get it (two categories:  funny or serious), upload it to youtube and then send them the link.

I found out about this 2 HOURS before the contest closed and they stopped taking submissions.  I (of course) used Facebook as my medium for a plea of help to ANYone who might be home in the afternoon and with camera/movie making skills.  My cries for help were answered by the best possible people that could have come to my rescue.

A friend who has made quite a few videos brought his equipment over and we filmed, edited, and uploaded in an hour.

We find out on Monday who the finalists are.  If you are a finalist, you are given one week to get as many people to vote for you as possible in order to win the free surgery.  I will expect allllllllll your votes, and all your friends' votes, and all your family's votes.  Wish me luck!!!!
