I'm pretty sure I just earned 847 sky miles on my flight just now.
I also had a great time observing people before, during and after my time in the air.
When I first got into the security line I observed a brother and sister who were flying sans parents. The sister was older and probs only 17 and the boy was maybe only 13. They interacted well and it was amusing when the boy offered his sister an Andes mint and when she asked if he got them from his pocket he replied,"yeah, that's why they're so tasty!" And she just laughed and shook her head.
Then when I got to the gate, I was sitting back to back with a guy who was talking on the phone with his mom about how there really was no law that states that you HAVE be at the airport 2 hours before your flight. It's recommended but you can be there 30 mins prior. But it kept going in circles and ended with him saying that she was crazy and that there IS NO LAW. I bet he's excited to go home for the holidays.
Also at the gate was the Asian who had to say the word 'baby' every other word, not a joke, to the person he was talking to (I sure hope it was actually his girlfriend...).
The next person who amused me through observation was one of the flight attendants. You first have to know who Penelope is. She is a one upper on a Saturday Night Live skit and she has a very particular way of speaking. Penelope- Traffic School This flight attendant sounded juuuuust like her and it made everything she said very comical.
I saw and heard quite a few other things in my travels tonight. Man, people are funny. And very entertaining. Thank you, people of the world. And thank you for flying on the last day of the world.
Very good observations. Lol. Felt like I was right there with you enjoying people watching.
