On Being Engaged

It's pretty great you guys.  Though I do have this slight pain in my left forearm from holding my hand up to see the ring sparkle.  Apparently if you hold your hand up like that 163 times a day, your arm will get tired.  Totes def worth it.

But enough about the ring! Let me tell you how it came to be on my finger!

So there we were, down in Arizona at the LDS Mesa Arizona temple for a good friend's sealing.  We came out of the temple and Dillon said he wanted to walk around and take some pictures of the temple.  Off we went around each side (passing, not a joke, one million little teenage boys on one side) until we came to this cute little orange tree with a huge, petrified log underneath it.

I figured Dillon wanted to know all about the tree and how it got there and how trees are petrified and how long that takes and stuff so I read him the little plaque by it and was exclaiming about how crazy it was that it took over one hundred million years for this tree to turn to rock and man, it must be old when I turned to him.  He looked at me and then got down on one knee which totally surprised me, but made me oh so happy.

The rest is personal stuff (during which all I could do was have the hugest smile on my face) but the end result was me saying that of course I would marry him and making him get up off his knees so he could kiss me and get that ring on my finger.

He knows me well and chose to do it somewhere warm (AZ) and very special (the temple) so that only good memories could be connected to that special event.

I sure like this guy.  He is definitely my favorite.

You guys, I'm getting married!!!! To the best guy I know!!!!!!!

And sorry for the negative amounts of pics, the ring is getting resized so my finger is mourning its loss and won't come out for pics.
