6 Easy Super Bowl Appetizer Recipes

Obviously I love food. It is my favorite part of any event. Not that I don't enjoy people or activities, but the food is what brings it all together for me. I love menu planning and coordinating foods.  I'm not good at it from a scientific standpoint (like the science behind why certain flavors go together and complement each other), but rather I'm more about what tastes awesome ha.

I figured with the Super Bowl coming up this weekend I would put together a post of some of my favorite party foods. It is by no means a complete or well rounded list (come back next year and it'll be 100 recipes ha) since I've made barely any of the recipes I've wanted to in the short time I've been blogging about food. But it's a start!

First up, and one of my all time favorites that we make regularly now for no special reason:

Bacon wrapped Butternut Squash

It's "pretend healthy" because I don't think anything cooked in the fat of bacon can be called healthy, but that squash is 1000 times better for having associated with bacon.

************

Next we've got another favorite that we have made for Dillon's bday the last couple years:

Bang Bang Shrimp

It's well worth that pop of spice, but easy to customize if spicy isn't your thing.

************

An individual meat appetizer is up next. It may sound weird, but don't knock it 'til you've tried it:

The best part about these is that you throw them in the crockpot and can forget about them!

************

For the carb lover in your group:

Soft Pretzels

These are easy to make ahead and go great with any kind of dipping sauce.

This next one is a very favorite of mine:

Brown Sugar Bacon Smokies

I love these! But after a few, it is a little meat overload, so pace yourself ha.

************

Lastly, if you didn't get too much sugar from the smokies, we have dessert:

So good, and so easy.

Thanks for checking out my recipes! I really love food and love sharing it with people.  If I could cyber send food, you know I'd be in the kitchen 24/7. Dillon is probably grateful that it's not a thing ;) Maybe someday!
