Fall Break 2022

Prepare for few words and lots of pictures!

Now that our kids are in preschool, and the preschool follows the district calendar, we had our first official fall break! I don't think many states do this break in October, I never had it growing up in WA, but we enjoyed our little break doing some fun fall activities.

Our first adventure was to go apple picking, which isn't really a thing here in Utah like it can be in WA, because we got an apple cider press since I was missing going out to Bill's Berry Farm to press our own cider. Quin remembers going with me on a special trip last year so he was more excited than the other two. Aunt Celeste met us there and then we headed back to her house where she and Uncle Miguel made us pizza with their new outdoor oven that Miguel recently built.

The next day we went to Wilkerson Farm for a fall carnival where the kids went on rides, we went through the corn maze, and we picked out pumpkins. Lydia was just barely too short to go on the first ride, which turned out to be not warmed up yet so it barely moved but the boys still said it was fun ha.

(Quin wanted us to be pirates but Lydia is just trying not to feel sick, poor girl!)

Enjoying Celeste and Miguel's house

Family pic at Gardner Village that night for the witchfest where you walk around the shopping area (that has the knitting store where I learned to knit) and look for all the witches that they set up.

We ended the night with the kids each getting a kiss from a llama. A man from the petting zoo from the carnival across the street was trying to get people to go over there by parading around the llama.

And that's it, short and sweet!
