I've been keeping it on the DL that I have been playing not only softball intramurals, but girls flag football as well. I kept that tidbit a secret really well because: I actually only played in two games. I would somehow contract weird illnesses, like Polio, and not be able to play but have to go to Institute instead.
Last night was the Championship game. I would just like to point out that, as a team, we only ever won one game; the Championship game. How in the world did we even make it to that game, you ask? WELL, the teams that beat us were moved up to the higher division and all the other teams that we could have potentially played forfeited. That's right, we became Champions by beating the system--and that last team, which we did actually play.
I had a few good plays as a rusher/blocker. I ripped a few flags off and blocked my little heart out. Sports complete my life.

In other news, we finished softball.
There were no teams to forfeit and WE were the ones to get moved to the upper division, so it was a little harder than football.
We had made it into the quarterfinals and only had 4 more games to win, but alas, we didn't make it past that first game.
We were the better team (of course), starting out with a 6-1 lead in the first and then stretching it to 9-1 in the second, but after that we all hit grounders straight to their players and got out at first every time.
They slowly inched up to beat us in the last inning, where they bat last.
It was sad. But we all were grateful to have been able to play together, improving each week.
